Baseball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Marshall challenged Yellville-Summit on Saturday. Marshall lost 12-1 to Yellville-Summit. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on March 3rd.

Marshall dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Yellville-Summit, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will take on Sloan-Hendrix at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st. Marshall's pitchers better be ready for this one: Sloan-Hendrix has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Yellville-Summit, they will square off against Cave City at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
