Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Road Academy Panthers vs. Goodpasture Christian Cougars

Franklin Road Academy hasn't had much luck against Goodpasture Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Cougars at 4:30 p.m.

Franklin Road Academy is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They fell 8-5 to Providence Christian Academy.

Max Riggs was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Gavin Gadsey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Goodpasture Christian came tearing into Monday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won nine matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Goodpasture Christian pushed their record up to 21-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin Road Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
