Baseball Recap: The Heights Comes Up Short

The Heights fell victim to Jackson-Reed and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 8-0. The Heights was not able to make up for their defeat to Jackson-Reed from their previous meeting back in March of 2018.

The Heights' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Jackson-Reed, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Heights will welcome Avalon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Jackson-Reed, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against McKinley Tech at 4:00 p.m. Jackson-Reed will need to watch out since McKinley Tech has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
