Softball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Rigby on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 10-9. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Rigby, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will venture away from home to take on Pocatello at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pocatello has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Rigby, they will challenge Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on April 7.
