Basketball Recap: Belleview Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Belleview Christian had lost ten straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Faith Rosiere didn't let it get to 11. The Belleview Christian Bruins skirted past the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles 31-29 thanks in part to Rosiere, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 21 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Belleview Christian's points.

Another player making a difference was Tara Polson, who posted four points in addition to six boards and five assists. Those five assists gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Rocky Mountain Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Gizelle Luna, who put up six points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Marrs, who had four points.

Belleview Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Belleview Christian will take on Golden View Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they will square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
