Girard can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past the Riverside Warriors 10-2. The victory was just what Girard needed coming off of a 12-3 defeat in their prior game.
Camron Herrick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Herrick was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
