Basketball Recap: Steilacoom Comes Up Short

Steilacoom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Clover Park Timberwolves, falling 80-59. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sentinels of the 71-52 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Marshall Scott was a one-man wrecking crew For Clover Park. as he dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Scott is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Ijohn Taylor was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Steilacoom's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clover Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Steilacoom will venture away from home to face off against Tumwater at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clover Park, they will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
