Highland had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Monday. Everything went their way against the North Callaway Thunderbirds as they made off with a 62-36 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Natalie Shryock, who posted 11 points and five boards. Kymorie Myers was another key player, putting up seven points.

Highland pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for North Callaway, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Highland Cougars duke it out with the Centralia Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Callaway, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Prairie Home at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
