Basketball Recap: Mt. Hope Starts off Right with Win over Johnston

Mt. Hope had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Johnston Panthers by a score of 76-67. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 46-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mt. Hope can attribute much of their success to Timothy Castriotta, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Jacob Tamke was another key player, putting up six points.

Mt. Hope and Johnston will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Huskies are set to face off against their familiar foe Chariho at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Johnston will square off against rival Burrillville at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
