Football Recap: Westbury Comes Up Short

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Westbury was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They were dealt a 42-12 loss at the hands of the Port Washington Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Green Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Vikings are ranked 170th).

Westbury's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Port Washington, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Westbury will challenge Hicksville on Saturday. As for Port Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Massapequa at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Chiefs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
