Baseball Recap: Canyon State Academy Rams vs. East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles
Canyon State Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They lost 20-0 to the East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 two weeks ago.
As for East Valley Athletes for Christ, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The result was nothing new for East Valley Athletes for Christ, who have now won five games by nine runs or more so far this season.
For East Valley Athletes for Christ's part, Asher Kellso made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk).
