Carter came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Arroyo Valley, but Alahna Sanchez wouldn't allow it. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions on Thursday for which the team can thank Sanchez, who had 19 digs and one assist. She has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last six times she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Arroyo Valley and bumps their season record up to 12-6. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-15 Bloomington and 3-9 Carter. As for Carter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arroyo Valley will welcome Colton at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carter, they will be playing at home against Bloomington at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
