Basketball Recap: Adin Kurak's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crested Butte over Custer County

Crested Butte was the 48-32 winner over Custer County when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crested Butte Titans took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Custer County Bobcats on Saturday.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adin Kurak, who posted 23 points. That was a full 50% of Crested Butte's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tyus Fischer was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Crested Butte's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Custer County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Crested Butte has already played their next match (against Gunnison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Custer County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-33 win against Florence on the 11th.
