Basketball Game Preview: Belpre Golden Eagles vs. Waterford Wildcats

The Belpre Golden Eagles will head out to face off against the Waterford Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Belpre is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Belpre came up short against Fort Frye and fell 55-45.

Meanwhile, Waterford suffered their biggest loss since December 3, 2024 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 74-45 defeat at the hands of Caldwell. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Wildcats struggled afterwards.

Waterford now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Belpre, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Belpre came out on top in a nail-biter against Waterford in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 52-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Belpre since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
