Recap: King's Academy Lions vs. Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors
The King's Academy Lions were the 48-36 winner over the Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. King's Academy took a hard 52-36 fall against Christian Academy of Knoxville on Friday. King's Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bennett Simerlein was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points for Christian Academy of Knoxville. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson White, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
King's Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-11.
King's Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Berean Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Berean Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
