Volleyball Recap: Norwalk Triumphs

While Norwalk's win against New London wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Truckers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Wildcats on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Truckers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Norwalk was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-7, 17-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Their offense was headlined by Madeline Gamble and Ainslee King, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Tyler and her 38 assists. Gamble was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Norwalk now has a winning record of 4-3. As for New London, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3.

Norwalk wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Clyde on the 4th. As for New London, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Western Reserve on the 4th.
