Basketball Recap: Greenview Takes a Loss

Greenview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-26 loss at the hands of the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.

Kyson Pflum continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arthur-Okaw Christian, going 7 for 10 to rack up 15 points and seven boards. Pflum's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Helmuth, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points.

Greenview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenview won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lewistown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greenview is facing Lewistown at the right time seeing as Lewistown is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they will square off against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Arthur-Okaw Christian likes a good challenge.
