A well-balanced attack led Linden over Swartz Creek in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Dragons out of the water with a 45-12 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.

A big part of Linden's win came down to the chemistry between Noah Thomas and his top target Max Widner. Thomas picked up 189 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Widner threw for 235 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes.

Linden's record is now 5-1. As for Swartz Creek, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Linden will square off against Fenton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Swartz Creek, they will take on Flushing at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
