Basketball Recap: Gracee Linman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Windsor Charter Academy

Wray won the last time they faced Windsor Charter Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wray Eagles came out on top against the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds by a score of 48-37.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wray to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gracee Linman, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That's the most boards Linman has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Danyelle Davis, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Wray was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 2-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Windsor Charter Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaydence Wahl, who put up nine points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Miley Hawkins also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Wray's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-16. As for Windsor Charter Academy, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-12.

Coincidentally, Wray and Windsor Charter Academy will both be playing Frontier Academy the next time they take the court. Wray will host Frontier Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Windsor Charter Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
