League recap: Liufau throws longest pass in league this season for Bellarmine Prep

Sefo Liufau and Drew Griffin provided fans with a highlight when they connected against South Kitsap. The connection went for 81 yards, the longest such play in 4A Narrows this season.

Olympia led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Stadium.

Bellarmine Prep's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Liufau threw for 309 and four touchdowns and Griffin had 139 yards receiving. On the ground Lou Millie chipped in 155 yards. Garrett McKay helped Bellarmine Prep's passing attack out by catching five balls for 84 yards.

The Lions' Liufau and McKay have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Liufau has thrown for 1011 yards this season, while McKay, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 32 catches for 398 yards. Yelm's Jacob Swilley leads the league in rushing yards with 701.

A big matchup in 4A Narrows this week will be when Central Kitsap takes on the Tornadoes. The Cougars are in third place, while Yelm is in first place.

Randy Swilley's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,572 from 6,987. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 38-14 victory over the Tornadoes last week.
