Basketball Recap: North Hills Christian Victorious

North Hills Christian hadn't done well against University Christian recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The North Hills Christian Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the University Christian Barracudas, sneaking past 38-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since February 13, 2024.

North Hills Christian can attribute much of their success to Eden Hager, who posted two points along with 15 rebounds, seven steals, and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Emry McLaughlin, who scored seven points and seven boards.

North Hills Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Several Barracudas players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ellie Adams, who put up 11 points. Kinsley Tompkins was another key player, putting up ten points.

North Hills Christian moved to 9-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for University Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

North Hills Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sheets Memorial Christian at 6:00 p.m. As for University Christian, they will head out to square off against Salem Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
