Softball Preview: Spanish Fork Dons vs. Wasatch Wasps        
        
		
            
 Spanish Fork is 9-1 against Wasatch since April of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Spanish Fork Dons will head out on the road to  square off against  the Wasatch Wasps at 3:30  p.m. Spanish Fork is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
 Last Tuesday, Spanish Fork faced Salem Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Spanish Fork blew past Salem Hills 11-3. The result was nothing new for Spanish Fork, who have now won five matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
  Lucy Evans spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Spanish Fork got a  massive  performance out of  Alyce Archuleta, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Olivia Carroll, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 15  runs the game before, Wasatch was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Thursday. Their  tough  9-2 loss to Ridgeline  might stick with them for a while.
 Spanish Fork's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Wasatch, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Wasatch's pitching crew has a tough task ahead of them:  Spanish Fork has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.4  hits per game. It's a different story for Wasatch, though, as  they've been averaging 9.1. Given Spanish Fork's sizable advantage in that area, Wasatch will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Spanish Fork took their  victory against Wasatch  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  11-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spanish Fork since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
