Soccer Game Preview: Hopewell vs. Meadowbrook

The Hopewell Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Meadowbrook Monarchs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hopewell had taken Colonial Heights down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Colonials by a score of 2-1. Hopewell have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Meadowbrook fell victim to Maggie Walker and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 8-0 to Maggie Walker.

Meadowbrook now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hopewell, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Hopewell was able to grind out a solid victory over Meadowbrook when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
