After losing to Raleigh the last time they met, Morton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 victory over the Lions on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since March 28, 2025.

Morton now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Raleigh, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Raleigh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Mize on the 10th. Hopefully Morton paid attention to the Lions' contest: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Lions at 6:15 p.m. on the 17th.
