Soccer Recap: Lynwood Takes a Loss

Lynwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Leuzinger Olympians an easy 6-0 win. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 679th, while the Olympians are ranked 165th).

Lynwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Leuzinger, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0-2.

Lynwood will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Hawkins at 4:10 p.m. on December 26th. Hawkins is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season. As for Leuzinger, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Redondo Union on the 20th.
