Baseball Recap: Riverside Pirates vs. McLoughlin Pioneers        
        
		
            
 Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They fell  4-0 to the McLoughlin Pioneers. The shutout was out of character for Riverside seeing as the last time the team failed to score was  back in March.
 For McLoughlin's part,  Dallen Duncan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Duncan was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Adrian Camarena was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.  Jace Heckman was another key contributor,  getting  no  hits from his two  at bats.
 Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for McLoughlin, the  win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will  face off against Umatilla at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Riverside is facing Umatilla at the right time seeing as Umatilla is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for McLoughlin, they are on the road again  on Monday to play Vale at 1:00  p.m. The timing isn't great for Vale: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while McLoughlin has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
