Basketball Recap: Lucie Burruss' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mapleton over North Douglas + How To Watch

Mapleton lost against North Douglas back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sailors took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Douglas. The Sailors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mapleton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucie Burruss, who posted 15 points and three steals. Burruss is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbi Mendez Galvan, who scored eight points and three steals.

Mapleton's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Douglas, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Mapleton has already played their next game, a 43-37 defeat against Perrydale on the 11th. As for North Douglas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-24 loss against Powder Valley on the 11th.
