Basketball Recap: Island Coast Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Island Coast can now relate to. They took a blow against the Gibbs Gladiators on Wednesday, falling 92-39. The matchup marked the Gators' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bobby Crawford was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds for Gibbs. Those 27 points gave Crawford a new career-high. Oneal Delancy was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Island Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Gibbs, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

Island Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gibbs, they will square off against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Gibbs' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 19 games.
