Basketball Recap: Tidewater Academy Wins Going Away Against the New Community School

Tidewater Academy won the last time they faced The New Community School and things went their way on Friday too. The Tidewater Academy Warriors took down The New Community School Sabers 50-33. The match marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season so far.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tidewater Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Henry Berryman, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Camden Hawkins, who had nine points.

Despite the defeat, The New Community School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luke Boyer put up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Chandler, who earned eight points.

The victory made it two in a row for Tidewater Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for The New Community School, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Tidewater Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-23 defeat against Ridgecroft on the 7th. As for The New Community School, they will face off against Guardian Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
