Basketball Recap: Beulah Victorious

Beulah hadn't done well against Loachapoka recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Beulah Bobcats skirted past the Loachapoka Indians 60-57. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-59 two weeks ago.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mitchell Chenier, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Tyner, who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points.

Beulah is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Loachapoka, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Beulah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 72-40 loss against Glenwood on the 7th. As for Loachapoka, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-42 defeat against Lanett on the 7th.
