Softball Game Preview: Dillon Christian Warriors vs. Williamsburg Academy Stallions

For the second straight game, Dillon Christian will face off against Williamsburg Academy. The Warriors will square off against the Stallions at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Dillon Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

On Tuesday, Dillon Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away Williamsburg Academy. They had just enough and edged out the Stallions 4-3.

Lilli Shooter spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Molly Andrews was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Dillon Christian's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.7 runs. As for Williamsburg Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.
