Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Normal Community). They took down the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs 74-58 on Tuesday. Given the Ironmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the seventh in a row for Normal Community, bringing their record for this year to 20-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Normal Community will venture away from home to challenge Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
