There's no place like home for Jordan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past the East Leopards 16-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Beetdiggers have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
TALON PETERSEN looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, NOAH GATTI was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Jordan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was KODY KEMP, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Jordan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East only posted a batting average of .235.
Jordan moved to 12-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Jordan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Leopards: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
