Springfield strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Ten seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Springfield let Noah Mueller and Jackson Ludewig run wild. Mueller scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Ludewig went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kade Nachreiner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Springfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop only posted a batting average of .235.

Springfield pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.9 runs thus far. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
