Basketball Game Preview: Apex Friendship Patriots vs. Green Level Gators

Two dominant guards in Jasmine Nivar and Claire Barber are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Apex Friendship Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Green Level Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Green Level will be up against a hot Apex Friendship squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Apex Friendship blew past Apex 71-19 on Tuesday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Cougars are ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Green Level entered their tilt with Holly Springs on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Golden Hawks as they made off with a 65-44 victory.

Apex Friendship has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Green Level, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Apex Friendship might still be hurting after the 58-35 defeat they got from Green Level in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Apex Friendship avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
