Watsonville got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. They blew past the Everett Alvarez Eagles 3-0. The Wildcatz haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

While Watsonville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.

Watsonville's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Everett Alvarez, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Watsonville is set to square off against their familiar foe Greenfield at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez will face off against rival Alisal at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
