The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils will challenge the Prairie Central Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin has three straight victories, Prairie Central has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin was able to grind out a solid win over Iroquois West, taking the game 7-3. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly four runs.

CRUZ DUBOIS was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin is 4-1 when DUBOIS posts three or more hits, but 5-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, JAXEN SPICER was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. MICAH STANFORD was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Iroquois West only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Prairie Central lost 13-3 to Paxton-Buckley-Loda on Monday.
Prairie Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Friedman, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Friedman has hit this season. Another was Lane Whitfil, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Prairie Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
Prairie Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Prairie Central, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's hitters?
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin took their victory against Prairie Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
