Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pilot Point). They were the clear victors by a 19-8 margin over the Callisburg Wildcats on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Pilot Point's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Callisburg, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Pilot Point and Callisburg could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Bearcats will take on Ponder at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (847 vs. 334). Meanwhile, Callisburg (ranked 989th) will meet Boyd (ranked 108th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
