Community School of Davidson won the last time they faced Christ the King and things went their way on Friday too. The Spartans came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 28-21. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Nixon Willis had a dynamite game, rushing for 152 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Community School of Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Community School of Davidson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cade Rasmussen and Josh Teckenbrock. Community School of Davidson got some further help from Gregg Jones: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 11 total tackles.

Despite the loss, Christ the King still got an impressive performance from Brennen Wallace, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Wallace also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making eight total tackles and defending one pass.

Community School of Davidson's record is now 2-3. As for Christ the King, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Coincidentally, Community School of Davidson and Christ the King will both be playing Lake Norman Charter the next time they take the field. The Spartans will head out to face the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Crusaders will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
