Basketball Recap: Classen SAS Takes a Loss

After flying high against Western Heights last Tuesday, Classen SAS came back down to earth. The Classen SAS Comets were dealt a 78-36 defeat at the hands of the Newcastle Racers on Friday. The game marked the Comets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Classen SAS's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Newcastle, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Classen SAS will welcome Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newcastle, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mustang at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Newcastle is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Mustang a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
