The matchup between Kerman and Tulare Union on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Kerman Lions walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Tulare Union Tribe. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Tribe walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Roxy Alvarez made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Alvarez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Kerman let Jadyn Grewal and Jaymee Hick run wild. Grewal scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Hick got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Grewal has posted since back in April of 2024. Allison Sanchez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.

Kerman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Kerman and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Tulare Union, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kerman will square off against Fowler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fowler will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Tulare Union, they will welcome Sierra Pacific at 4:00 p.m. on March 18th. Tulare Union has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
