After flying high against Baldwin last Thursday, First Coast came back down to earth. First Coast took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Nassau Warriors on Friday. The Buccaneers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

First Coast saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Carns, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

First Coast's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for West Nassau, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Coast will head out to take on Fernandina Beach at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (First Coast 3.7, Fernandina Beach 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for West Nassau, they are taking a road trip to face off against Baldwin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
