Baseball Recap: Council Rock South Extends Winning Streak to Four

Council Rock South had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Council Rock North Indians. This was a revenge game for the Golden Hawks: when they faced off against the Indians last Saturday, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

Jimmy Clark looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Drew Nemeth was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Council Rock South's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Council Rock North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

As of now, neither Council Rock South nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
