Basketball Game Preview: Catholic Rockets vs. Jacksonville Titans

Catholic is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Jacksonville a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Catholic Rockets will welcome the Jacksonville Titans at 5:15 p.m.

Last Friday, Catholic was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to Greenbrier. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Panthers are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Jacksonville had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Parkview with a sharp 70-48 win on Friday. The Titans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Jacksonville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Catholic came up short against Jacksonville when the teams last played back in February, falling 49-41. Can Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
