Punxsutawney extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Jordan Rutan. The Chucks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the DuBois Beavers 17-14 with plenty of help from Rutan, who rushed for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.

Despite the loss, DuBois still got an impressive performance from Trey Wingard, who threw for 184 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 64 yards on only five carries.

Punxsutawney's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for DuBois, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Punxsutawney will head out to challenge Redbank Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for DuBois, they will venture away from home to take on Connellsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
