Greenville Christian Academy turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Greenville Christian Academy Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 67-55 win over Hilltop Christian on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Greenville Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Imogen Rawls, who scored 30 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rawls has scored at least 25% of Greenville Christian Academy's points. Ellie Eisses was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Hilltop Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lizzy Jernigan, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Meleah Bell, who scored 11 points.

Greenville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Hilltop Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Greenville Christian Academy will be playing at home against Wilmington Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilmington Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Greenville Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for Greenville Christian Academy. As for Hilltop Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against New Manna Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. New Manna Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
