            Softball Preview: Wasatch Wasps vs. Orem Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            The Wasatch Wasps will challenge the Orem Tigers at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Wasatch has given up an average of 8.7  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Wasatch is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11  runs  on Friday, they were much more limited against Springville  on Tuesday. They came up short against  the Red Devils, falling  12-2. The Wasps haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
 Wasatch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mali Evans, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Another  was  Sydnee McPhie, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile,  Orem unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Timpanogos by a score of  6-5.
  Andlie Allen was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  she has posted since March 3rd. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hannah Maylett, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 Wasatch's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Orem, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
 Wasatch skirted past Orem  9-8 in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Does  Wasatch have another victory up their sleeve, or will Orem turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
