Baseball Recap: Shawnee Indians vs. Celina Bulldogs
Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Celina Bulldogs. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Tate Bender put in work no matter where he played. He pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Cam Barker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
