Volleyball Game Preview: Moore Lions vs. Piedmont Wildcats

The Moore Lions will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Piedmont Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a proper cat-fight when Moore duked it out with Norman on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Tigers.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-15, 26-24, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Piedmont unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Norman on Monday, falling 3-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Norman scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.

Moore beat Piedmont 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
