Softball Recap: Indian River Takes a Loss

Carthage hit Indian River with a nine-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves lost 17-11 to the Comets. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Comets from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Indian River now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Carthage, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Indian River wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 loss against Gouverneur on the 10th. As for Carthage, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 defeat against Lowville on the 12th.
